QuestionI am not sure if you can help me, but maybe you can lead me in the right direction...about 3 1/2 years ago..i purchased a motorcycle with the persuasion of my boyfriend( at the time) with the promise he was going to make the payments.. As it turns out, it was a lie..and i was stuck w/ the payments...I intended to put the motorcycle up for sale...but when i came home one evening, i find my boyfriend home saying the motorcycle is gone..i made a police report, made an insurance claim...but they wanted to do a full investigation w/ their lawyers...I had to go to a full deposition w/ my insurance companies lawyers..At that time, i was an emotion wreck w/the motorcycle theft and my boyfriend, who i find out is a drug addict..Needless to say, I didn't get a lawyer to represent me at the deposition and my claim was denied...I put in a complaint w/ the insurance company w/ no results...I think they were under the impression my boyfriend was involved in the theft...regardless I had nothing to do w/ the theft..but now i am stuck w/ this debt...i got myself together after that mess and put my past behind me...but now 3 1/2 years later, Harley Davidson is coming after me to pay the debt off....Is there any way i can have this case reopened...what i don't understand is my insurance company never dropped me after the investigation, i am still using them for my car insurance and if they thought the theft was fraud..why didn't they come after me?...If the police had any suspicions, they never followed through w/ it...I feel the insurance company took advantage of my emotional state at the time w/ the whole claim..Is there a specific type of lawyer I can also talk to about this matter with? Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated...

Maybe your boyfriend did take the bike or had it taken, but unless he was on the policy-so what? And even at that, there are other considerations.
Here is my opportunity to brag (yes opposing experts I am bragging),last week, yet another case in California, an insurance company paid on a claim denied a year and a half ago, because of my intervention without going to court!
Is it bragging? Or are the opposing experts just sore losers because of the inconsistencies in their "forensic" reports and the truth is interjected, the "forensic" expert's existence is moot?
In the latest forensic report from the opposing expert it is stated "I removed the ignition lock." Then 2 paragraphs down it states "No parts were removed."
