Auto Insurance Claims: auto um coverage, uninsured motorist, personal auto

Question
If a person is provided a company car and they are also allowed to drive it personally and get hit while on personal business by an uninsured motorist, will their personal auto UM respond as far as their bodily injury? The Company car has no UM.

Answer
Hi Betty,

It would depend on the state you live in but in most cases yes. You should contact your insurance company to file a claim. Thay would be in the best position to determine if you are eligible for coverage.

I hope this helps
