Auto Insurance Claims: Property Damaged in Taxi, pi claims, settlement phase

Who's PI claim will this be paid on.  I was passenger in DC taxi, hit from behind, totaled both cars.  Taxi driver not at fault and both he and I have PI claims.  Accident happened in Maryland.  I'm insured in VA.  I sent damaged goods estimate to attorneys months ago.  Taxi driver claim is in the settlement phase.  I am still ongoing medical care.  My question is whose claim does my damaged goods fall under, the taxi driver or mine?  The taxi driver and I are unrelated and it just so happens we hired the same lawyers.

Each claim is seperate and distinct. If you had personal articles that were damaged in addition to your injury claim, the personal property is seperate from your injury claim. You should ask your attorney what the status of the property damage claim is. Ask him/her to push for immediate payment of the property damage portion of your claim. Then you will continue to pursue your injury claim once all of your treatment is concluded.
