Auto Insurance Claims: RE: Denied Collision Coverage for unlisted Driver of REntal, : Denied Collision Coverage for unlisted Driver of REntal

Question
I was denied collision coverage because I let my son drive the rental car i rented in my name and did not list him as a driver. There is damage to rental which would have been covered if I was driving according to rental company. Is this right?

Answer
Hello Joe,

Probably yes. You have to read the rental agreement (and also your auto policy) to see what exactly the exclusion says. If it says that you cannot loan a rental car to anyone. Then you are probably excluded.

I hope this helps,
