Auto Insurance Claims: what should i do ?, turbo charger, policyholder

Question
hi sir,
i have a eskoda rider which i bought last year , two weeks back i was driving it and there was some patch of water which was about 6 to 8 inch high and suddenly when i was crossing it my car stopped .
showing it to the workshop they said it is an engine damage .
now after opening the engine we found out the repairer cost it about 2.5 lakh .
the car is in company guaranty but they are not ready to do it as they say it does not cover the water entering the engine.
insurance Componey is saying they might pay some amount but they are not ready to pay for the turbo charger  which is the most expensive part ....
i don't know what to do ?
why is the insurance not ready to pay me ?
engine is in Componey guaranty they are just washing there hands off ...
the engineer says it is a common problem in this car ..
please guide me what to do ?
thanking you

Answer
Anees,

In cases like yours you need to be assertive of your rights as a policyholder. Otherwise they will run all over you, as it is in most jurisdictions,

Ask them to show you in the policy where it excludes payments for turbochargers or any part of the loss?

Send everything in writing and stop talking to them.
