Auto Insurance Claims: Procedure., liable party, demand letter

Question
Hello,

The adjuster of the liable party is requesting all records that are relevant to the accident.  He would like me to provide them with psychiatric medical records and bills.  I was injured during work hours and my worker's comp adjuster is providing them with most of the medical records.  There was a worker's comp overlap and I had to use my own plan to treat my PTSD.  The PTSD was a direct impact of getting hit by a car.

Should I provide them the information in a demand letter?  Or should I provide them the information without a demand letter?

If I provide them the information without an attorney will it diminish my claim?

Thanks.

Answer
Hi Daniel,

The insurance company will require all medical records pertaining to your claims associated with the accident. If you do not provide the medical record that corresponds to a medical bill, the insurance company will not consider the bill.

You should put together all medical records and medical bills then assemble a demand package. It may be helpfull to visit www.collisionwizard.com . This website will help you determine the value of your claim as well as assemble your demand package.

I hope this helps
