Auto Insurance Claims: Auto accident, accident check, eye injury

Question
he is the short version.
other guys fault and i am working with the adjuster with no attorney. My eye was injured in the accident and now i will need glasses for the rest of my life. I have always had 20/20 vision and just recently had it checked. ironically.
The other part is my car. he is settling for 3100 for the car it was a 95 ford with 155000 miles. just want to see what i should be offered for my eye injury and make sure i not getting screwed with the property part. and what i should expect to see for compensation for my eye.

Answer
The property offer seems fair.  He owes the amount you could have sold it for prior to the accident.  Check NADA online and you can get an idea if his offer is in a fair range.

The eye injury is very difficult to value.  This is a very unusual injury and I have never settled a claim where someone would need glasses for the rest of their life as a result of the accident, so I'm not very confident in my ability to give you a good value.  First, you need to make sure your eye doctor agrees the accident caused the need for glasses directly as a result of the accident, and that it would not have been likely you would have needed glasses for this problem if not for the accident.  He should put this opinion in writing.

Were there any other injuries?  How hard was the impact?  How much are your medical bills, and will you have future medical bills?  What medical care did you have?  If you can answer these questions, I will attempt to give you a value for the injury.

Keep in mind I am not an attorney and this will be my opinion, and not a legal opinion.
