Auto Insurance Claims: Waiing too lomg, coomon, peace of mind

Question
Hi,
I was involved in a car accident in January 2007, I was not at fault. Right before the 2 yrs statue expires, the other insurance offered me $5,000 and a letter from their expert saying that my injuries are "highly unlikely" cause by
the accident. I hired an atty who hired an expert who wrote that it is "highly medically probable". At this point, do you think the insurance company will still fight my case? Is this coomon for insurance company to delay cases rather than settling soonier? If so, how long do you think it will take before it get resolve?  It's been over 2 years and I want to move on with my life. I haven't been working due to this accidnet and I don't know if I will ever be in the future. I am done with the treatment and my disability is permanent.

Thank you in advance for your inight to help me get a peace of mind. I am getting depressed and cannot sleep over this. I want it to end.

Answer
Hi Grace,

Sorry for your ordeal.  It seems clear the insurance company does not see things the same way you do.  I would not say they are delaying; rather they disagree with you.  It may be necessary to go to court to let a jury decide who is correct.  You really should seek advice from your attorney.
