Auto Insurance Claims: auto accidnet, own insurance, insurance company

Question
This is the scenario: Mother is driving vehicle and rolls the vehicle. Child is injured. The child is over 18 but is disabled and mother had guardianship. So can the mother file a complaint against her own insurance company on behalf of her child even though it was her fault? Very complicated. Thank you.

Answer
Hi Tammy,

I'm not sure what you mean by "file a complaint". Against who... for what?

If you meant to say file a claim, then that would depend on the state you live in and what coverage is available on the policy. The mother will have to contact her insurance company to see if there is any coverage that would pay for the injuries.

I hope this helps
