Auto Insurance Claims: excluded driver in Texas, insurance application, own insurance

Question
Can someone be excluded if they do not reside at the same address?  The at fault party's insurance co. denied our claim because the 17 year old driver was excluded...the police report shows them residing at different addresses. Is there a chance for me to dispute this claim?

Answer
A driver is generally only excluded if they have been listed as excluded on the insurance application.  It has nothing to do with the address other than the fact that the reason people are generally listed as excluded is because they are not to drive the vehicle and are sharing an address with the insured.

Generally, the only way to dispute it is if the person has their own insurance.
