Auto Insurance Claims: Damage from Car Wash, own insurance, car wash

I took my vehicle thru a car wash, the attendant drove my vehicle and hit something that caused about $700 in damage.  They offered to fix my car only if I took it to their body shop, when I asked to take somewhere else they told me to file a claim thru my company since michigan is a no fault state.  What can I do?

Hi Sam,

Michigan is a no-fault state. So as they said you can either take the vehicle to their shop or you can file on your own insurance. The damage sounds like it is fairly minimal so it should not be a problem going to their shop.
