Auto Insurance Claims: Auto insurance problems due to previous damage, fog light, insurance problems

I am (or really was) with AAA and because of a no-fault accident last year and an inspector looking at my car - previous damage that was unclaimed was found on my car. Small stuff, but some things that are small but expensive and none of those keep my car from running so I have not fixed them. These amount to my fog light though working, the glass is cracked and a scratch on my drivers side front fender. Neither thing was claimed.

So why is it now, after all this and being very honest about all my claims they are denying me continued full coverage? Basically if I continue it would be with only liability, I guess it is. Either way it's the pits.

I'm wondering if you can give me any information on what my rights are and what future insurance co.'s might look at as to my insurability. Any help you can provide would be great.

Hi Mary Ann-

I would recommend you swtich companies if your really want full coverage.  When I insure someone, I simply document the preixisting damage so it can't be claimed later and everything is fine.
