Auto Insurance Claims: claim paid then frozen, special investigations unit, car fire

Question
Recently we had a car fire and after the police and fire dept were called the chief said he assumed it was something to do with the fuel pump.  The insurance company never came in person had a hired towing company come and tow it to there investigation site. Approx a week later the claim did go through after everyone was interviewed etc.  Four days later the money from the claim was frozen in our account and the police chief contacted us.  He told my husband that new evidence had come about and he told me the insurance company had reopened it. Two COMPLETLEY  diffferent stories.  Today I contacted our insurance agent and was told it is now been transferred to the Special investigations unit.  What is going on and do I need to be seeking legal counsel.  Thanks

Answer
This means that they have identified a reason(s) to suspect fraud or arson.  They are investigating to determine what happened.  They have not made a final decision, but they are suspicious.  Legal counsel is probably a good idea to be safe if you can afford it.
