Auto Insurance Claims: Total car, chevrolet cavalier, buck deer

I gave brother permission to drive my 2002 Chevrolet cavalier and he hit a huge buck deer busted the windshield air bags came out tore th e front end of the car up. The car is a mess. will my insurance say the car is a total loss because i owe 1500 dollars on the vehicle and it has 180,000 miles on it.

Based on the damage description, this vehicle is likely a total loss.  Assuming that you have the appropriate coverage, they will pay you the actual cash value of the vehicle, less your deductible.  The lien holder will have first shot at the settlement before releasing the title.

It could be worse as there are other people out there who owe $4,000 on the same type of vehicle.
