Auto Insurance Claims: hit and run while parked, paint matching, own insurance

Question
Hello, simple question, my car was parked on the street, someone came and crushed into it at night.  No witnesses. Next morning I discovered the damage.  Now a week later I found the car that hit me a block away from where I live, complete with all the matching damage on its front, including my paint.  How can I win this?  I realize that without a witness I may have a slim chance, would it really make that much of a difference if I did have a witness in a hit and run like this?

Answer
Dear Concerned,
You need to make a police report including the location and description of the other car.
Detailed paint matching and areas of damage can determine that this was the car involved in an accident with yours.
Unfortunately, without any witnesses, the other party can claim that you were the hit and run driver.
You should report this to your own insurance company for their assistance.
Sincerely,
Bennie
