Auto Insurance Claims: Claim Denial??, special investigative unit, proper notifications

Question
I recently had a car stolen two months ago and my insurance company has yet to settle with me.  I do have quite a claims history, within the past 7 years this will be my 6th claim.  My lease is due up on this car in April 2008 & I'm about $6000 over in mileage.  The vehicle has been recovered, I have yet to receive an estimate of repairs & at this time I don't know where the vehicle is.  I was told the insurance company has the car, shrink wrapped in a warehouse. I've been interviewed by their Special Investigative Unit, I've also been interviewed by their attorney under Oath, after the proceedings I was informed it will take possibly two weeks to determine my approval or denial.  I'm bothered by the fact that when I opened this policy they knew my claims history but they still granted me a policy, now that I need them, I got to go thru so much inconvenience.  Are these simply the legal proceedings State Farm is going thru first to deny my claim?

Answer
Hi Dame,

Insurance companies go through extraordinary measures whenever a claim involves a theft. The have 60 days to investigate and even longer with the proper notifications. At this point you will just have to wait until the decision is made. They can not deny your claim however, unless that can prove that you had something to do with the theft of your car. In that case they will not only deny your claim, but will press charges against you for insurance fraud. If not then the claim will be paid in due time.

I hope this helps
