Auto Insurance Claims: How to handle the medical bills paid by the wrong party?, car auto insurance, car insurance company

Question
Hi, I got injured in an auto accident. The other car is at fault. I went to the hospital and doctors offices. However, the hospital and doctors office do not charge the third party, the other car insurance company, but my medical insurance directly. Except for the co-payment, all the medical bills have been paid by my medical insurance. It is predicable the future medical charges will be continuously paid by my medical insurance. Does it mean the other car auto insurance can save the money? Will it affect my compensation in the future? How shall I do? Thank you for your answer.

Answer
Hi Ruo,
If you have medical payment coverage under your own auto insurance, have them reimburse your health insurance for bills to date and then pay any future bills up to your policy limits.  Once you exhaust your auto medical payment coverage, you can turn to your health insurance.
You don't want to have the 3rd party pay your medical bills because they would later deduct them from your settlement.
When you are fully recovered and prepared to file a demand for pain and suffering, write me again and I will provide assistance regarding the steps that you must follow, please include your state of residence at that time.
I trust this has been of help.
Your feedback by rating my answer will be appreciated.
