Auto Insurance Claims: claim, collision coverage, liability insurance

i have this new used car for about 2 weeks, i had just liability  insurance then added collision coverage to the policy and a few days latter my wife had the tire blow out. she lost control and ran over a large boulder. there was a good amout of damage. will i have any problems filing a claim for this accident?

Hi Brad,

There should be no problems as long as the coverage was added before the incident. The insurance company should pay either the cost of repairs less your deductible or (if declared a total loss) the Value of the car less your deductible.
