Auto Insurance Claims: Car Accident, insurance agent, car accident

Question
I was in a car accident which was not my fault. The only damage was that my tire popped and needs to be replaced. The other drivers car insurance agent said that since the tire was not in very good condition he would only pay $11 of a used tire and I would have to pay the rest. Is this the best deal that I can get? Shouldn't he have to get me driving again since it was not my fault?

Answer
Hi Tammie,

If they put a used tire on your car they should not charge you anything. Only if they put a brand new tire on the car then you would have to pay for the difference in tread between the tire that was damaged and the new tire.

I hope this helps
