Auto Insurance Claims: auto accident, value of my car, fish tail

Question
HI, I have question regarding a accident I was involved in, I was rear ended I have a 2006 pathfinder Had to stop suddenly due to a police car cutting me off at a intersection, so the car behind me slammed into me at a pretty good rate of speed, the tow bar took the impact pushing it into the rear and upward bending the right rear frame. I'm concerned now that the value of my car of course is going to be diminished quite a bit, also the structural integrity of the frame now being never the same..It drives ok doesnt seem to fish tail but I haven't had it on the highway as it just happened. But I have my concerns, also the other person has no insurance and I do have uninsured on my policy still upsetting as it was the officer's fault for cutting me off in the intersection to begin with.

Answer
Hi Darlene,

The vehicle will never be the same and will suffer from a lose in value due to the frame damage.

You are entitled to be compensated for the diminished value of your vehicle.  To learn more about diminished value and how to collect your diminished value visit www.collisionclaims.com .
