Auto Insurance Claims: Insurance claim, salvage title, insurance claim

Question
I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE THE OTHER DRIVER WAS AT FAULT, NOW HIS INSURANCE COMPANY WANT TO TOTAL MY CAR DO I HAVE TO ACCEPT THIS? I DO NOT WISH TO HAVE MY CAR TOTALED

Answer
Hi Larry,

If the cost of repairs is at or above 75% of the value of the car, then it is a total loss. You can buy back the car from the insurance company in some states, however, you will have a vehicle that is worth much less and will have a salvage title.

I hope this helps
