Question
QUESTION: My 15 year old son drove my car without a License and wreaked the car where no other car was involved, (I am paying out of pocket for the repairs) the police rolled up on the seen they had the car towed and took my son home to his mother. Latter in the mail he got a ticket for speeding and a misdemeanor for driving without a licenses.  What is going to hapend to my ins. Idid not notify them though.

Thank you so much for your advice.

ANSWER: Hi Stuart,

Since you are paying for the repairs yourself there should be no affect on your insurance. The tickets were issued to your son not you so they will not show up on your driving record.  I think you will be just fine.

I hope this helps

QUESTION: Thank you Richard, One more question Please, What is going to happen to my sons. as far as you know??
We are going befor the judge this Thursday? will it apear on a recored some where? so that when I go to get him insured will it show up?

Answer
Hi Stuart,

Since he is a minor, I believe his record will be clean when he turns 18. However, you can ask the judge when you go to court for verification. At worst it will come off when he is 18 anyway since the violations only stay on your driving record for 3 years.

Good luck
