Auto Insurance Claims: Driving with license and involved in crash, damages, crash

Question
A friend borrowed my car and he got into a accident. We later found out that his license was suspended. Will my insurance dompany pay for the collision damages? Buy the way, he was also intoxicated at the time of accident.

Answer
Hi Johnnie,

In most cases you can lend your vehicle to anyone that does not live in your household and it will be covered. However in some policies they exclude coverage if the accident occurs while DUI. You will just have to file the claim and see what they say.

I hope this helps
