Auto Insurance Claims: how do you find out if the other party have insurance, line states, police report

On April 29th my Car was park and a DWI drive hit me that driver is from a different state and I do have the police report all the driver information was on there accept his insurance information and line states  self-insured I ask why and I was told he was in his company vehicle. so how can I find out who he insured with?

Hi Valerie,

You will need to find out the name of the drivers company. Then call the company and tell the you were involved in an accident with one of their drivers and need to know who to contact to make a claim.

You may need to call the driver directly to get his company name.
