Auto Insurance Claims: Claim., property damages, first insurance

Question
my scenario is this: I got rear ended in January. The other insurance is about to cover the damages done to my car. But, someone rear ended again and I ended up rear ending a guy in front of me. At the time of the second accident, I haven't got my car fixed yet. So there was prior damages(from the first accident) when the second accident happen. NO ONE got a ticket. I have a lawyer for the medical part but the lawyer said that they don't do property damages. I got my car  estimated for damages by the insurance of the 2nd guy that hit me from the second accident. I haven't mentioned second accident to the insurance of the first accident. And, I haven't mentioned the first accident to the second accident.

My question are these:

Should I inform the first insurance of the second accident and also inform the second insurance about the first accident?

Would the second insurance fix all the damages?
How would I approach this? I just want my car fixed and my medical bills paid (chiropractor for the second accident). I do not want my insurance premium to increase.

Answer
Hi Mark,

You do not need to inform the insurance company of the 1st accident about the second accident. But you do need to inform the insurance company of the 2nd accident about the first accident. The insurance company will deduct the repair cost for the first accident from their settlement for the second accident.

I hope this helps
