Auto Insurance Claims: Lowest Auto Insurance Rates, independent insurance agent, auto insurance rates

Question
I have a situation that is probably not unique. I live in Minnesota. I have a 4th degree DWI from 2004 adn a 2nd Degree DWI from 2007. I know that insurance rates will be quite high for me, so I was wondering what type of vehicle has the lowest insurance rates in general. Is it a light pickup kind of style or a compact? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Answer
Hi Rick,

Yes, your rates will be high no matter what. Generally, the vehicle with the lowest insurance costs tend to be the small Japaneese sedans such as a Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra, etc.

The best thing to do is to select 3 to 4 cars you may be interested in purchasing. The contact an independent insurance agent and have them give you a quote on all of them. Then you will be able to see the difference in each one.

I hope this helps
