Auto Insurance Claims: 3rd party insurance, salvage company, party insurance

I work a Body Shop we have a vehicle that we towed.  Safeway insurance customer was at fault.  Is the 3rd party insurance required to pick up vehicle?

I'm not sure what you are asking but I'll try my best.

Regardless of who the insurance company is or whether it is a 1st party or 3rd party claim, only the vehicle owner can authorize the repairs or the removal of the vehicle.  If the vehicle is a total loss, eventually the owner will authorize the insurance company to pick up the vehicle. The insurance company will then have a salvage company pick up the vehicle.
