Auto Insurance Claims: Insurance Claims, again., insurance provider, statute of limitations

Question
What happens when the person I was in an accident with more than 3 years ago files for a claim when I already changed insurance provider?

Please help.

Answer
Hi Ivy,

Depending on the statute of limitations in your state, they may not be eligable to collect anything. If they are still able to make a claim, it will be covered by the insurance company that had your insurance coverage at that time.

Cosidering the the collision was 3 years ago, the insurance company will likely give them a very hard time about paying the claim.

I hope this helps
