Auto Insurance Claims: Auto Accident: rearended, tow yard, driver insurance

Hi,
I was rear-ended about a week ago. I just got the police report and the other driver got cited for following too closely.
I am new to this, and my question is that should I go to her(other driver) Insurance company (State Farm) or should I go to mine (All State)?  Other driver is clearly at fault from the police report.
I'd really appeciate your answer.  Thanks and have a nice weekend.

If there is no question as to liability and you already have the police report that you can forward, the I'd try going with the other carrier first.  You should know within a few days if there are any coverage issues and if there are any problems, go ahead and file with your own carrier.

Now, if your vehicle is not drivable and sitting in a tow yard somewhere, you may want to use your own carrier to mitigate additional expenses.
