Auto Insurance Claims: is the commerical property owner at fault, is the commerical property owner at fault

Question
So I went to pick up my husband from work and I ran over to blue metal pipes sticking out of the ground. The pipes were on the side of the half gravel half cement drive going to the back of his work. I was driving at night and moved over to avoid one of the many potholes in the road and ended up ruining my muffler. The total damage was $364 to fix my muffler. I called my State Farm Auto company to see if it would be covered under a Comp claim they said no and if I did it under collision i would have $500 deductible and would Probably raise my monthly rates. So I'm wondering if the owner of this commercial property is responsible. I called the company and left a message with someone but I haven't heard anything back.

Answer
Well, this will be a difficult claim, but you can make the argument. Note that you will have to have some sort of corroboration (police report will help).

Try to get a police report if you can. Please see this page for more information: http://www.auto-insurance-claim-advice.com/Fault-for-the-Accident.html
