Auto Insurance Claims: personal injury settlement?, personal injury settlement, hospice nurse

Question
i had my brakes changed at a shop. they admitted full liability. the mechanic failed to pump/bleed my brakes. i was given keys to back off ramps out of shop after closing time they were in a hurry to go home. when i backed down i had no brakes. the car was gaining speed down ramps toward hwy 74 i hit breaks a few times without success attempted to put car into park. then panicked opened door and rolled out of car moving backward at an angle. the car went across hwy barely missing a minivan down a hill into some trees bordering a water filled ditch from recent flooding. i didn't feel anything for while shaking then stinging all over. had gravel in my hands imbedded and my right forearm. 2 skin tears. a cut on my left buttock from hitting door on way down to gravel. i am a nurse and my friend present also a nurse used facility first aide kit to bandage up. did not go to hospital. went to Dr that Mon had X-rays taken due to strange aching getting worse. arm hurting. showed up abnormal sent in for mri revealing rotator cuff tear. now seeing orthopedic surgeon does not recommend surgery stated tear was very small partial and would heal with time. given physical therapy to do at home and cortisone injection in office.. finally 2 months later most of pain is subsiding. im getting ready to write demand letter. damage to vehicle is 6700 and medical bills are like 5000. my insurance payments are way less than actual bill since in network care is provided. do i add up providers charge, or allowable billing charges. it has both on my bills. also do i add in vehicle damages since its all being done together as far as i know. and exactly what type of claim would this be? should i even be doing this by myself.ive been on various pain medication, i have a 1 year old i couldn't pick up. this is my right dominant arm. couldn't even vacuum my house. reach up to punch in gps #s.i am a hospice nurse so my job is not to physical, i have been able to work although co workers have helped by caring for wounds as i could not reposition or turn patients without reinjuring my arm and being in pain. anyway ive seen different formulas on hear on what to multiply by i know rotator cuff injuries are a little different. im not sure what exactly to add up. Do i count time and miles to dr apt. i live in a rural area 42 miles to Dr. one way. also 2-3 hours here and there off of work that i can just move my schedule around to accommodate. i am not usually paid by the hour at work. also i have hired someone to clean my house for last 6 weeks. so how do i sum it all up?

Answer
My first advice is to get an accidxent lawyer on contingency fee. If you wont do that, then consider the eBook at UClaim.com "Total Loss Auto Claim Deluxe" which has a section on injury claim valuation. Your property damage is dollar for dollar. Your medical bills and lost income is 2 to 4 times depending on how "likeable" you would be to a jury.
