Auto Insurance Claims: Wheel Off, Auto theft claim denied because of insurance forensic expert-credibility issues!

I am an ex-employee of a national automotive service and repair company.  In the course of my employment, I was made aware of many instances of neglect (on the part of the service technicians) that led to Wheel Off occurring on customers vehicles.  

I have great respect for automotive service technicians and the hard work that they do but in this case it was mostly management that did not provide proper training and they they also failed to enforce policy.

I have been contacted by a few customers who were impacted by Wheel Off and they feel as though things must change to protect future customers.

My question is:  Can the impacted customers organize and file a class action lawsuit?  Is there a local lawfirm in the Midwest that is familiar with this type of case?
