Question
Last yr I left interior lights on and had to have my brother-n-law jump my van.  As soon as he jumped, I could not get the heat or air to work.  The blower works, however, it blows what ever the temp of the air is outside.  Like a fan.
The issues are;    
I cannot change the direction/setting from dash/floor/front.  
the button that you push to engage the A/C doesn't work. It wont light up.  What is wrong and how do I go about getting it fixed?

First thing you need to do is check ALL the fuses.  It sounds liek there is no power to the HVAC control head.  Be sure to check all panels.  I do believe there are three on your fan.  One outside and two on the side of the dash panels.  Check every fuse as GM has tendencies to double up on circuits.
