QuestionAAmco in Richardson "repaired" AC 1yr and 4 days ago -yesterday stopped blowing cold for 4th time -told it was broken AC harness/clamp -compressor plug will not stay in. AC blows but warm, musty air. Have checked with 2 Ford dealerships -NAPA -lkq -autozone and noone has heard the exact verbiage "ac harness". What do I need to get? or Do?
AnswerThere seems to be three parts to your question.
The only supplier of harnesses will be a compressor re-manufacturer who may or may not supply one separately.
For a quick fix a drop of superglue strategically placed should hold both ends together.
I am not clear whether the a/c works even when the compressor is powered up.
The musty air is likely to be bacteria or fungus on the evaporator.
A specialist product available thru an a/c specialist should move it
