Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Heating/heater problem?, ford contour, blower fan

Hi,
My husband has a 96 Ford Contour and a few weeks ago his heat stopped working. And again a week later, his fans won't even come on anymore. We do not know what could be the problem, we've checked some fuses. And still no fans. Please help, we need the heat to work.

If the heater doesn't work there are usually two reasons. No water in the radiator or a blockage in the heater matrix behind the dashboard

If the blower fan won't run, try it on maximum speed. If it won't run at all separate the connection to it and attach 12 volts from a battery. If it won't run then, the motor, or brushes if they are fitted, are worn.
