Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: AC Blowing, air intake hose, gmc sierra

Question
QUESTION: I have 1995 GMC Sierra and when I cut my AC on it will blow out and work just fine, but after being on a while, the air quits coming out of the vents but the blower is still blowing! Any suggestions?

ANSWER: Hi Ryan

Check in the engine compartment for a vacuum leak.  If it is automatic temp. control then your actuators may be going bad.  Let me know what system you have.

QUESTION: It is not automatic

Answer
Check in the engine compartment by the evaporator case.  There you will find a check valve that has three hoses connected to it.  Follow the one that goes to the engine under the  air intake hose.  That hose is probably broken in there.  Replace and you will be ok.
