Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Kia Sportage Air conditioning issue?, kia sportage, heater core

Question
Hi there,

Over the past few days I have noticed that my heat takes longer to get warm and then it only stays warm when I am driving. As soon as I start to idle the air goes neutral or cool. This morning when I started my car there was liquid dripping on the passenger side floor coming from underneath the glove box area. I drove it less than a mile and the temperature guage moved all the way to the H within a minute or 2. Any idea what could be causing this?

Answer
HI Kristine

I sounds like your heater core is leaking and must be replaced.  Not sure what year or engine on your vehicle but the dash must come out to repair.  You must add antifreeze and make sure you always have your radiator full or you may loose your engine with time.
