Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: rear air - 96 suburban, rubber hoses, automotive air conditioning

Question
I blew a rear air line on the last charge, the line looks deteriorated, I've heard trying to replace these lines is expensive, how can I "plug off" those lines and just use the front air?? is there any kind of kit for this?

Answer
Hi Tom

you can repair with compression fittings and hoses.  You can also disconnect but you will have to either finds the hose set without rear air or have them welded.  let me know if  I can help.

Compression fittings can be found at any automotive air conditioning stores.  In South Florida there are a few that can help you some are on the net.  Check for auto ac repair Miami FL.  You can tell them you need two fittings to connect aluminum tubing and splice with rubber hoses.  You need to see which size the tube you have that is broken.   Let them know and they can mail it to you.
