QUESTION: air cond gets cold and blows air but will not switch from max air to reg or any of the other functions stays the same no matter where you have the switch

Pull your knob off of the control it is probably broken.  Check that and let me know.

QUESTION: checked knob it is not broken i can hear it make a clicking sound when you cut it off and on one of the other settings . it does cut off when you swith to off but nothing changes when you move to other settings . thanks for your help

On the drivers side. Remove the cover under the steering column.  Look at the black case and you will see the actuator motor (square black box) with cables attached to it.  Move control and see if that motor moves.  If it does not move your motor may need replacing.  If it moves and the doors do not change then your problem is bigger.  It may be the plastic door inside the dash that has broken and to repair  you must remove the dash board.  Check and let me know.
