Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: A/C problems, honda civic ex, ac system

Question
Hi. We have a 1999 Honda Civic EX, 115,000 miles. My ac compressor started grinding so I just had my ac system rebuilt - new compressor, dryer, expansion valve, flushed and recharged. He also added a tracer dye. As I am driving it away from the shop, an intermittent high pitched sound starts. It lasts from a second to 5-6 seconds. Yesterday, it got to the point where it was very irritating, and the a/c was blowing hot air. We turned it off and rolled the windows down. In Texas, that's not a real viable option. I checked the a/c out when we got home and had no noises and we had cool air. The mechanic said to drive it for a few days to see if it stayed the same. He has a small shop, and I'm wondering if the flush really evacuated the system, and if a small piece of the old compresor is now blocking/sticking to something.
Any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Willie

On the Honda civic you need to check the condenser fan.  Make sure it is blowing about 22-28 cfm's.  Flush  is not really good for the system.  If any fluid stayed in the system it will dilute your oil and may your compressor noisy.  Check fan first and let me know.
