Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: 95 chevy z71 ac problem, chevy z71, blower motor

Question
First the compressor will not turn on from the control head, the light will not come on when you push in the ac button.  Second, the blower blows but only in through the bottom vent.  My question is do you think I need to replace the control head.

The first thing I would check would be the fuse for the ac/heater control. Chevy often has a seperate one for the controls from the blower motor circuit. If this checks out good. Then yes I absolutely would have your control head checked out. If you had not told me that you were having an issue with the light and the ventilation doors, then I would have led you down a different path, but with the combined information, it makes the decision easy.
