Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: a/c clutch cycling, compressor cycle, hose kit

Question
When an a/c system is properly charged, will the compressor cycle off?  The reason I ask is because I recently recharged the a/c in a motorhome we recently purchased with a hose kit that had a colored guage.  I filled it to where the guage specified as full. Now with the control on Max cool the compressor doeasn't kick off.

Answer
Brandon,
When the compressor is properly charged, yes it will cycle off as you put it. It will get shut off when the thermostat inside the vehicle registers that the desired temperature you selected has been met.
With you having the setting at "max", that is telling the compressor basically nothing is too low. It will continue to run trying to cool the confined space until you tell it to stop at the control panel.
So, from your description it sounds as though it is runningn just as it should.

Thank you for the question, I hope I was of some assistance. If I can do anything further during this process, or in the future, please do not hesitate to ask. If you found this response to be of some assistance, please remember to rate this answer. Thanks again and good luck in everything.
