Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: compressor rebuild kits, pulley puller, plymouth voyager

Question
I have a 1996 Plymouth Voyager with a FI 3.0 liter six. All of a sudden the engine started to lose power and smoke started to pour out of the engine compartment.  I discovered that the Air Conditioning Compressor had locked up and metal was showing coming out of the side of the Clutch assembly.  Is there a rebuild kit that I can install to fix this? or do I need to purchase another Compressor?

Answer
Micheal,

I don't recommend rebuild kits because you don't get a warranty with them. However you can find a compressor rebuild kit and the best place to get the kit is from the dealership. If you take this project on yourself you need to get a compressor pulley puller kit you should be able to find that at an auto parts store.
