Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: 1998 dodge grand caravan blower problem, dodge grand caravan, grand caravan

Question
When I shift to reverse or press the rear window defroster button, my blower fan stops!  If I am driving on a warm day with the A/C turned on, sometimes the blower fan stops!

It sounds like some wires might have been crossed, I haven't seen a problem like this before so I would first check all the wires for burned or bare parts touching other wires. Then check all the switches but needless to say its going to take while to diagnose. As far as any ideas of what it could be I'm kind of stumped with out having looked at it myself.
