Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: truck a/c, dodge ram 1500, digital volt meter

Question
Hi, i have a 2005 dodge ram 1500 4x4 and the a/c works great it just will not blow out the vents it comes out the floor and the defrost just not the vents how can i fix this problem without taking it in to the shop

Answer
Micheal,

Sorry for the late answer but I did some homework on your a/c systems ducting. I found that your mode doors are electronically controlled so first thing I would do is check all the fuses, thats what usually causes the problem. If the fuses are good the next step would be to check the door motor and to do that you have to remove the instrument cluster, you will also need a DVOM (digital volt meter). Its a pain to do this yourself if your not sure how to test door motor or remove the instrument cluster. So if your fuses are good your best bet would be to take it to the shop and they will be able to diagnose it and if you decide to tackle this job yourself I will be happy to assist you with any additional info you might need.
