QuestionHello, I have a 03 Expedition and need to recharge my A/C. I found what I
thought to be the low side fitting on the passenger side just before the
headlight housing but the connector does not fit. Where is the low side fitting

If I recall correctly, the 03 expedition low side port is located also on the passenger side of the engine compartment, but closer to the shock tower. I will not swear by that though.
I will tell you how to locate it. From your compressor there are two lines. One is your high side which you have already found with the port behind your headlight housing. The other is your low side. Follow this line to the firewall where it enters the cab. Between the compressor and the cab there should be a silver canister. This is your accumulator. It will have a pressure switch on it, two hard lines coming from the top, and it will more than likely also have your low side fitting on it. If for some reason Ford decided to not to put it on the accumulator as they usually do, it is on one of the lines coming from the top of the accumulator, in a fairly accessible location. Typically, if you have not had anything done to your a/c prior to now, it will still have the cap on the port. And Ford has always been pretty good about color coding them. Red will be your high, which you have found, and blue for your low. Again, if they broke away from their typical this year, it will be a black cap with the letter "L" on it.
