Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: A/C on 92 Honda Prelude 2.3, honda prelude, cold at night

The A/C blows cold sometimes, usually works ok when I first
turn on the car and run it for a while, say 10 minutes to 30
minutes time.  If I switch the A/C off and on until it works again
it will usually blow cold again for a short time. After doing this a
couple times the A/C will eventually blow hot all the time.  The
funny thing is that the A/C works really well all the time at night
or if its not that hot outside? Any suggestions? Thanks for your
time.

Hello Tim, Outside tempertures always affect  a/c systems that are undercharged. Have the freon psi checked first and go from there. If the freon is too low it takes it longer to get cold.At night, it does not have to compeat with warm outside temps.
