Hi Jennifer, Alittle early to blame the compressor at this time. Would recommend getting the a/c system freon pressure checked first.If operating pressure is too low the compressor won`t come on and that means there`s a possiblity of a leak.That needs to be determined first.
Check for a reputable a/c shop to check the a/c for a performance test.
