Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: 91 LEXUS LS 400 COMPRESSOR, metal debris, lexus dealer

Question
Hi
i just installed a new compressor in an ls 400 i just bought.  the former owner had not used ther a/c for the last 2 years (when the compressor seized).  so, i decided to fix and did:

-changed compressor
-sucked down old sys
-added new pag oil
-changed dryer
-retrofit to 134 a
-charged with 3 cans
-pressure on low was 30 lbs
-pressure on high was 200 lbs

at first the compressor kicked right on.  but it did not get hold. so i drove it and finally got it to blow chilly out of 1, ONE, vent. then it got a bit colder. i kept adjusting the settings and finaly the ac got cold from all vents...then we drove off.  i adjusted the  fan speed and it got warm.  i noticed the compressor would not cycle off.  nor did the aux fan come one, and the drain for the condesor did not drip as it had for the 15 minutes it was actually working.
so, i thought there was a chance we had too much 134 on the system and i ourged it and recharged it now i get nothing any help would be great....i have tried to every setting possible, the info bar that shows you the temp  clock etc does not work but the buttons are there and control the functiond just fine?  an expansion valve?

Answer
Hello Rick, I work for a Lexus dealer and number one rule when you have a seized compressor. The compressor, drier and expansion valve are replaced. Before any parts added, be sure the system if flushed first.Any metal debris that is in the system from the old compressor  can damaged the replacement.Be sure it`s clean.Overcharge a/c can also do damaged. That system takes 6 to 8oz of oil and 2.25lbs of
refrigerant.

Good luck, Davidt
