Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: water on the floor, carpet padding, pontiac bonneville

i have a 95 pontiac bonneville and from time to time i have lots of water under the back of my passenger seat,even when the AC is off

Hello Earl, I would recommend pulling the carpet away from the front passenger firewall area a check if the carpet padding is soaked with water.Sometimes water may come down the firewall from either from a/c water or water that comes thru from washing or rainy weather. Water will run to the rear as the cars motion forward as you drive. If I found water on the front area; I`d have someone run a garden hose over the windsheild area and lay across the seats and look under the dash and firewall area for signs of water drops.
Try this first. You might have think back abit a figure out how and when water may possibly get in.Door weather seals can leak also.If that right door does not close even water will come in.Check the door hinges for play. aloha,davidt
